Contentment

Handsome just had dinner and he was happy to just lay on the patio and absorb the warmth from the concrete.  I am so happy that Handsome is still with us for the 5th year because even though he is fixed he still roams about a 3 block radius.  I worry about him getting hit by a car and I cannot tell you how many times he has come home all tore up from a fight and I had to clean him up and put him on antibiotics.  I can't afford to run him to the vet every time he gets into a fight, so there is a little trick I learned working at shelters over the years called Fish Mox.  It is used for cleaning fish tanks and it is 100% amoxicillin, best thing since sliced bread and cheaper than a vet visit.  I wish he would just be happy to stay home like Tuffy.
